After more than 2 years of implementation, the Dong Dang (Lang Son) - Tra Linh (Cao Bang) expressway project is entering an acceleration phase as many important items gradually take shape.
To date, phase 1 of the project has reached about 75% of the construction contract value, and more than 60 km of the route has been asphalted.
In the early days of July, reporters' records showed that the construction atmosphere at the Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway construction site was urgent.

Along the route, hundreds of machines are operating continuously, workers' groups and teams work shifts day and night to speed up progress.
According to the project enterprise, there are currently 132 construction teams being deployed simultaneously with more than 2,000 engineers, workers and about 1,400 machines and equipment.
Units maintain construction according to the motto "3 shifts, 4 crews", taking advantage of favorable weather conditions to compensate for progress and complete items according to plan.
Up to this point, the construction output value of phase 1 has reached about 75% of the construction contract. Notably, about 60 km from Dong Dang to Dong Khe has completed asphalt concrete paving on one side of the route.
This is considered an important milestone, creating a premise to complete phase 1 of 93 km according to the 22 m wide roadbed scale by the end of 2026.

In parallel with accelerating the construction of phase 1, items belonging to phase 2 are also being implemented.
Accordingly, the technical design dossier has been completed by the consulting unit and submitted for appraisal for 85.3/121 km of the entire route. Roadbed expansion work is also being carried out simultaneously with a construction value of nearly 500 billion VND.
According to engineer Nguyen Duc Tuan, after more than two years of sticking to the construction site, the appearance of Cao Bang province's first expressway has changed significantly.
Looking from above, the shape of the first modern expressway of Cao Bang province has become clear," Mr. Tuan shared.
The project enterprise said it is focusing all resources to complete about 62 km from Dong Dang to Dong Khe at a roadbed width of 22 m by December 2026, creating favorable conditions for the completion of the entire phase 1.

Not only those who directly construct, local people also expect the expressway to be put into operation soon.
Mr. Nong Van Trong, Dong Khe commune, said that every day witnessing the project being completed is another time for people to be excited.
According to him, when the road is completed, travel between Cao Bang and Lang Son, Hanoi and other localities will be more convenient, opening up many opportunities for economic development, trade and tourism.
The Dong Dang (Lang Son) - Tra Linh (Cao Bang) expressway project has a total length of more than 121 km, invested in two phases.
In which, phase 1 is 93.35 km long, from the intersection connecting the Huu Nghi - Chi Lang route to Cao Bang province, started in early 2024 with a total investment of more than 14,331 billion VND, implementation time of 36 months.
Phase 2 will expand the roadbed section from Km0 to Km93+300 to 22 m and invest in a new section from Km93+300 to Km121, expected to be completed in 2028.
The project is implemented by a consortium of Deo Ca Group, ICV Vietnam Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company, Deo Ca Transport Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company (HHV) and Construction Joint Stock Company 568 in the form of public-private partnership (PPP), BOT contract.
When completed, the Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway will connect with the Huu Nghi - Chi Lang and Bac Giang - Lang Son expressways, forming an important external expressway axis of the Northeast region.
The route is expected to shorten travel time, reduce logistics costs, promote trade through the border gate area, and create motivation for socio-economic development for Cao Bang and the Northeast provinces.
