Information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of the Ministry of Public Security, on the morning of August 29, the traffic volume on the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway increased sharply due to the need for people to return to their hometowns and travel during the National Day holiday of September 2nd.
Through patrol and control work, the traffic police force recorded that most drivers well comply with regulations on keeping a safe distance from cars running in front. The situation of speeding, encroaching on lanes, and continuously changing lanes has also decreased significantly; no vehicles entering the emergency stop lane were recorded.
The Traffic Police Department requests the forces on duty on the route to continue to strengthen propaganda, inspection, and handling of violations, and at the same time guide people to comply with regulations on safe distance.
According to the Traffic Police Department, in conditions of increased traffic volume, maintaining a safe distance from cars running in front contributes to limiting the risk of collisions due to not controlling the distance.
This is also one of the factors that helps maintain traffic speed, ensuring safe and smooth traffic on the route.

Previously, on August 26th, 27th and 28th, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 3 - Room 6, Traffic Police Department handled 16 cases of violations of regulations on keeping a safe distance.
The handled cases are all passenger car drivers on the Phap Van - Cau Gie - Cao Bo - Mai Son - National Highway 45 - Nghi Son routes.
The Traffic Police Department said that the goal of inspection and handling is not to fine a lot, but through detecting and handling violations to warn and raise the awareness of self-discipline in law compliance of traffic participants, thereby proactively preventing accidents.
In the coming time, the traffic police force will continue to focus on handling cases of not keeping a safe distance, thereby gradually raising the awareness of vehicle operators and contributing to reducing traffic accidents caused by this behavior.
