The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued a decision approving the investment policy for the Project to build 3 Bailey bridges to prevent bridge incidents, organize traffic, and prevent traffic congestion in the city.

According to the decision, the project to build Bailey bridges for contingency can be deployed on To Lich, Kim Nguu, Lu, Set, Nhue rivers... to connect traffic in the area on both sides of the river and to promptly handle incidents of bridge damage due to natural disasters or weak bridges during operation to promptly reduce traffic congestion, ensure safety and convenient connection when bridge incidents occur, or when traffic needs arise in the city.

The Hanoi People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction as the investor with an estimated budget of nearly 15 billion VND, implemented in 2025-2026.

The investor is fully responsible before the law and the City People's Committee for the accuracy and legality of the information and figures presented in the report on the proposal of the project investment policy submitted to the appraisal and approval. Assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant units, urgently complete the project dossier submitted to the competent authorities for decision on project investment in accordance with regulations.

At the same time, inspect, review, update, supplement and absorb, and complete according to the investment policy appraisal opinions of the city's departments and branches before submitting for project approval; use savings and effective investment capital.

Bailey bridges are a type of mobile bridge that allows users to produce and process in advance, and can be assembled by hand or simple equipment at the site without the need for large cranes or complicated construction equipment.
