Attending the ceremony were Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan - former Politburo member, former National Assembly Chairwoman; Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Committees of Dong Thap and Vinh Long provinces, representatives of departments, branches, and a large number of local people and tourists outside the province.
The project is considered modern, beautifully designed, with a spacious access road, convenient for travel and sightseeing. Many people expressed their excitement and hoped that the bridge would promote the socio-economic development of the region.
Inaugurated on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, further enhancing the historical value and symbolic significance of the project.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Tri Quang - Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee, expressed his honor and excitement at witnessing the completion of this key traffic project.
He emphasized the important significance of the bridge for the socio-economic development of Dong Thap province and the entire Mekong Delta region.
Mr. Tran Tri Quang sent his sincere thanks to all levels of leadership, construction units, investors, and people for their contributions to the success of the project.
He also affirmed that Rach Mieu Bridge is a testament to the concern of the Party and Government in completing the infrastructure of the Mekong Delta region.
"I hope that cadres, party members and people of the province will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity and creativity to effectively exploit the project, contributing to building the homeland of Dong Thap to be more and more beautiful and civilized," Mr. Quang emphasized.
Rach Mieu 2 Bridge is a key transport project in the Mekong Delta, with a total investment of more than 6,800 billion VND from the budget. The project includes a 0.51 km long cable-stayed main bridge, a 0.45 km long My Tho bridge, and a 15.15 km approach road, connecting from Dong Tam intersection (Dong Thap) to near Ham Luong bridge (Vinh Long), about 4 km from Rach Mieu 1 bridge.
Rach Mieu 1 Bridge has recently been overloaded, causing serious traffic congestion, especially on weekends, holidays, and Tet. Putting Rach Mieu 2 Bridge into operation contributes to "sharing the fire" for Rach Mieu 1 Bridge, overcoming the constant traffic jam.
People expect that after the inauguration, Rach Mieu 2 Bridge will reduce congestion, facilitate connections and promote regional economic development.
