On the afternoon of December 13, authorities and people on Thi Sach Street (Buon Ma Thuot Ward, Dak Lak Province) were still dealing with the problem caused by ancient trees falling, collapsing power lines and houses.
Previously, at around 8:30 a.m. the same day, an ancient tree with a diameter of about 2 m and a height of about 40 m on Thi Sach Street was uprooted and fell.
Ancient trees fell and damaged the roof, collapsed the living room wall of Mr. Luu Trieu An's family. Fortunately, at the time of the incident, Mr. Trieu's family was not at home, so there were no casualties.

Mr. Trieu's relatives said that on the evening of December 12, a woman fell near an ancient fallen tree. When supporting this woman, people discovered that a large ancient tree had been shaken, showing signs of falling, so they warned Mr. Trieu's family.
Mr. Trieu's family discussed and suggested that the owner of the ancient trees cut them down to avoid the risk of the trees falling and collapsing the house. The same morning, the tree owner called the workers to cut down the trees and dump them for old use. However, before the workers arrived, the trees broke, overturned the entire roof and collapsed the living room of Mr. Trieu's family.
At that time, my family felt the danger and evacuated outside. Currently, my family and the tree owner are negotiating to resolve the consequences," said Mr. Trieu.
