On the morning of April 23, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee held a press conference to inform about the socio-economic situation in the first quarter of 2026. At the meeting, provincial leaders requested to rectify the situation of some departments and sectors participating but not grasping the content firmly, even only rereading reports.
Speaking at the press conference, Standing Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Long Bien requested the Office of the Provincial People's Committee to urgently review, rectify and have forms of reminder and criticism for units that have not seriously implemented their responsibilities in attending the press conference.
In the meeting, press agencies raised many questions related to fields such as socio-economic development, social housing construction, disbursement of public investment capital, handling of public assets... However, some units did not send the correct participants or did not clearly understand the content, leading to insufficient information and failure to meet requirements.
Notably, there are cases where representatives of departments and branches attend but only reread the prepared reports, without directly answering press issues of concern.
Faced with this situation, Mr. Nguyen Long Bien requested the Office of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee to inspect and clarify the responsibilities of each unit, and at the same time rectify the sending of officials to attend press conferences who must be people who firmly grasp the issue and have sufficient authority to provide information.
In addition, provincial leaders also requested to review and unify the focal points for speaking at departments, branches and grassroots-level localities. The assignment of spokespersons must be clear, ensuring timely feedback to the press and providing accurate information to the people.
