The drowning incident occurred at around 1:00 p.m. on November 28 in the fish pond behind the boarding house in Khanh Loc quarter, Tan Khanh ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The deceased victim was identified as P.D.Q (born in 2020, from Can Tho city).
Initial information, at around 1:00 p.m., the children went to the lake area behind the boarding house in Group 5, Khanh Loc Quarter, Tan Khanh Ward.
After that, P.D.Q drowned. When he discovered the incident, his accomplice ran into the boarding house (about 20m away) to shout.
Hearing the child's screams, people in the boarding house ran out and jumped into the water to search for the child. About 5 minutes later, they discovered Q in the water and took him to shore, but the child had died. The incident was then reported to the authorities.
The scene of the incident was a deep lake, surrounded by overgrown trees. This lake was formerly a tunnel for exploiting soil and is now used for fish farming.
Upon receiving the report, units under the Ho Chi Minh City Police were present to verify and clarify the death.
