On the morning of August 9, a fashion store on Pham Ngoc Thach Street (Kim Lien Ward, Hanoi) suddenly caught fire. Immediately after discovering the fire, many people near the scene used fire extinguishers on the spot to put out the fire, and at the same time reported to the authorities and everyone inside to flee outside.
Upon receiving the fire report, Kim Lien Ward Police mobilized officers, soldiers of the ward police, on-site fire fighting forces, and militia to quickly transport existing fire fighting equipment to the scene to put out the fire.
According to Mr. Truong Minh Quang - Vice Chairman of Kim Lien Ward People's Committee, initial information, at around 8:20 a.m. on August 9, Kim Lien Ward Police received a report of a fire at the Kiot 8 B7 shoe store on Pham Ngoc Thach Street, Kim Lien Ward.
Immediately after receiving the report, the Ward Police coordinated with local forces and Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Team No. 10 (Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department of Hanoi City Police) to quickly deploy fire fighting and rescue.
By 8:45 a.m. the same day, the fire was controlled and completely extinguished. Initially, the authorities determined that there were no human casualties in the fire. Currently, the authorities are conducting statistics on property damage as well as investigating and clarifying the cause of the fire.
