Vinh Phuc - On the morning of May 19, a major fire broke out at a factory in Duy Phien commune, Tam Duong district, causing a lot of property damage.

On the morning of May 19, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tien - Chairman of the People's Committee of Duy Phien Commune, Tam Duong District confirmed that a factory fire had just occurred in the area.

Initial information, the fire broke out at around 6:00 a.m. the same day, at the factory of Tam Duong Import Export Joint Stock Company, in Thuong village, Duy Phien commune.

"This is a large leather shoe factory with 4 floors, the 4th floor is a warehouse of raw materials, the fire spread from the 4th floor to the floors below.

The Fire Prevention and Fighting & Rescue Police - Vinh Phuc Provincial Police are trying to put out the fire. Up to now, the fire has been basically controlled" - Mr. Tien informed.

Along with handling the fire, the authorities are currently verifying, clarifying the cause of the incident as well as counting the damage.
