A major fire broke out on May 16 at a furniture factory specializing in tables and chairs, located on Nguyen Thi Ai Street, Tan Xuan Commune, Hoc Mon District, Ho Chi Minh City. Dozens of officers and soldiers of the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police (PCCC&CNCH) were quickly mobilized to the scene to respond.
At around 10am the same day, a fire suddenly broke out at a furniture factory covering hundreds of square meters on Nguyen Thi Ai Street, Tan Xuan Commune. Workers at the workshop quickly discovered and tried to put out the fire with mini fire extinguishers, however, the fire spread too quickly, causing initial efforts to fail.

Immediately after receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Ho Chi Minh City Police urgently mobilized dozens of officers, soldiers and specialized fire trucks to the scene. The soldiers deployed a dragon's nest and actively extinguished the fire. After more than 30 minutes of effort, the fire was basically under control.
According to initial information, the fire did not cause any human casualties. However, many properties inside the furniture factory were burned down.
Currently, Tan Xuan Commune Police, Hoc Mon District is coordinating with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police to block off the scene to investigate the cause of the fire and count specific damage.
