On the evening of May 16, the functional forces of Tan Thoi Nhat Ward in coordination with the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police (PCCC & CNCH) of Ho Chi Minh City Police successfully controlled the fire that broke out at a electronics store on Phan Van Hon Street, District 12.

The fire broke out at around 7pm the same day, creating a dense column of black smoke covering the entire area, affecting traffic on Phan Van Hon Street and neighboring roads.

Immediately after receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force quickly dispatched many fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene. With the continuous efforts of about 30 minutes, the fire was basically controlled, preventing the risk of spreading to neighboring buildings and residential areas.
As of 9:00 p.m., the authorities were continuing to block off the scene to investigate the cause of the fire. Detailed information about the damage to people and property has not been published.
