Khanh Hoa - The fire that occurred in the early morning of May 14th in the basement of a hotel in Nha Trang ward caused panic among many people.

In the early morning of May 14, functional forces of Khanh Hoa province promptly controlled a fire that occurred in the basement of a hotel on Han Thuyen street, Nha Trang ward, and safely rescued 2 people trapped inside.

According to initial information, at about 2 am on the same day, Center 114 received a fire report from local residents. Immediately after that, the Fire and Rescue Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police dispatched 2 fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to deploy fire fighting and rescue operations.

When functional forces approached the scene, the fire broke out in the hotel basement area, smoke spread widely, causing many people inside to panic.

At the time of the fire, the hotel had 5 guests and 1 receptionist. Three tourists and the receptionist escaped safely. The remaining 2 people, due to losing their composure, ran to the rooftop area to avoid the smoke.

After many minutes of firefighting efforts, the Fire Prevention and Fighting force controlled and completely extinguished the fire. The soldiers continued to organize ventilation and ventilation in the basement, and at the same time searched the entire hotel to find trapped people.

The two tourists were then instructed to move down by stairs and taken out safely.

The fire did not cause any casualties. Currently, the cause of the incident and property damage are being further investigated and statistically determined by functional agencies.
