At about 9:30 am on April 29th, a tanker fire occurred in the sea area of Lien Huong commune, Lam Dong province.
The location of the boat fire is about 500m from Binh Thanh sea dyke. At the scene, a column of black smoke rose high.
People on the shore in many locations could see the fire, black smoke billowing up. Some fishing boats of fishermen came to support the rescue.
Because the fire occurred at sea, access to firefighting was difficult. Functional forces used vehicles to approach the scene and support firefighting.
Answering reporters, Mr. Nguyen Truong Sa - Chairman of Lien Huong Commune People's Committee confirmed that the fire occurred in the sea area of the area. The locality has sent functional forces to the scene to support rescue and verify initial information.
This is a small oil tanker, anchored near the shore. According to commune leaders, initial information from the ship owner said that there were 3 people on board, after the incident occurred, 2 crew members were rescued by fishermen and brought ashore, currently searching for the remaining 1 person.
