A leader of Cam Trung Commune People's Committee said that the fire broke out at around 10:45 a.m. on May 5 at Dang Nhat garment factory in Cam Trung commune.
Immediately after the fire, many local people and workers at the factory promptly put out the fire and reported it to the fire fighting force. Firefighters quickly arrived to put out the fire.
About 30 minutes after the fire broke out, the fire was extinguished.
According to the leader of Cam Trung commune, the fire did not cause any human casualties. The cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified. However, initial assessment is that the fire may have occurred due to an electrical short circuit.
It is known that the scale of this garment factory that caught fire employed more than 200 workers.
