According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on August 8, 2025, the center of the tropical depression will be at about 19.0°N; 118.2°E, in the eastern sea area of the North East Sea.
The strongest wind is level 6 (3949km/h), gusting to level 8. Moving in the West Northwest direction, speed about 1015km/h.
Forecast in the next 24 hours: tropical depression moving in the West Northwest direction at a speed of 10-15km/h, strongest wind level 6, gust level 8.
Implementing Official Dispatch No. 5302/CD-BNNMT dated August 8, 2025 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and to proactively and promptly respond to tropical depressions, the Ministry of Construction requires the above agencies and units to immediately implement the following:
Vietnam Maritime Information Company Limited directs the coastal information station system to monitor, update, immediately process information and promptly notify the location, developments, and direction of the tropical depression so that vehicles and captains of ships and boats operating at sea know to proactively avoid, escape or not move into the danger zone.
The Vietnam Maritime and Waterways Administration directs the Maritime and Inland Waterways Departments to continuously monitor the developments and direction of the tropical depression to notify and guide ships when granting a license to leave the port; strictly count and manage the departure and maintain regular contact with ships operating in the area affected by the tropical depression, including transport ships and tourist ships to promptly handle possible bad situations; check and guide anchoring at ports, especially the anchorage area around the islands.
The Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center prepares forces and means to participate in rescue when ordered.
