Great ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) not only received the attention of people and media in the country, but this great event also attracted the special attention of international media. Up to 169 international reporters belong to 58 foreign press agencies and 701 reporters from 106 domestic press agencies attending the report, recording the moments of the Great Ceremony, the development image of Ho Chi Minh City in particular and Vietnam in general.
Working at the April 30 ceremony, Mr. Murayama Yasufumi from Kyoto (Japan) shared deeply with reporters about his feelings on this special occasion.

With 27 years of experience in Vietnam, Mr. Murayama Yasufumi is no longer an outsider. He has attended many important events of Vietnam, most recently the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory Ceremony. However, according to him, the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification has the greatest scale and significance. "I will convey information about this event to Japan through my articles. I am sure that my Japanese friends will love Vietnam even more," Murayama said.
In particular, Mr. Murayama Yasufumi clearly felt the spirit and affection of Vietnamese youth for the country through this event. He also appreciated the openness and mutual assistance between Vietnamese reporters.
This is the third time Mr. Murayama has attended the Ceremony of the Liberation of the South and reunification of the country of Vietnam, after the 30th and 40th anniversary. Sharing about this emotion, he could not hide the surprise before the monumental scale of the Great Ceremony. "The 30th and 40 -year anniversary gives me the feelings of sharing the joy of the victory of the entire people. But this time, I feel a intrinsic power, a deeper solidarity among Vietnamese people," he said.
Therefore, he is trying to record in the most realistic way the images of Vietnam's spirit of solidarity and heroic spirit to spread to the Japanese people. "I have been in Vietnam for 27 years and I understand what Vietnam is aiming for. I want to accompany and share these important moments as a Vietnamese person, because I love Vietnam," Murayama confided.
After the Great Ceremony of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, Mr. Murayama expressed: "It is really great and proud." Mr. Murayama also wittyly shared that he borrowed money from his wife to go to Vietnam to work and received enthusiastic support from his wife: "My wife said: I try to come up! The 50th anniversary of only once should be determined to come to Vietnam."
The large presence of international press, especially the sincere feelings of a Japanese journalist who has been deeply attached to Vietnam like Mr. Murayama Yasufumi, further affirms the stature and strong influence of the event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
