Unmanned ship drifts into Quang Tri province sea

Quang Tri - An unmanned ship drifted at sea, then washed ashore in Vinh Linh district.

At noon on October 21, the leader of Vinh Thai Commune People's Committee (Vinh Linh District, Quang Tri Province) confirmed that the authorities are handling the case of an unmanned ship drifting ashore.

Earlier, at around 7am the same day, people discovered a wooden boat drifting at sea between Dong Luat and Tan Hoa villages (Vinh Thai commune). About 30 minutes later, the boat was washed ashore by waves.

The Cua Tung Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Province Border Guard) and local authorities came to check but there was no one on the ship.

The boat was made of wood, 16m long, 3m wide, had a line of foreign writing on it, and had no property or fishing gear.

Currently, the border guards are making a record and reporting to the competent authority for handling.
