At 5:45 p.m., while performing his duties, Snooker Vu Van Binh discovered a phenomenon of rock sliding on the roof of the construction site where Lieutenant Nguyen Tien Dung was standing.
Immediately, H Si Binh ran to push Lieutenant Dung out to avoid the landslide site when a large amount of rock and soil hit him.
As soon as the incident was discovered, Major Nguyen Duc Thanh - Battalion Commander of Battalion 1 and Captain Luong Thanh Hai - Acting Captain of Company 2 - quickly took Captain Binh out for first aid and transferred him to the Co To Special Forces Medical Center for emergency care.
However, according to the conclusion of the Medical Center, due to the seriousness of the wound, at 10:25 p.m. the same day, Snooker Vu Van Binh died on the way to the emergency room.
Snooker Vu Van Binh, born on September 25, 2005, hometown Hoang Tay commune, Kim Bang district, old Ha Nam province (now Kim Thanh ward, Ninh Binh province), enlisted in February 2024, had difficult family circumstances, mother died early, younger sister.
Before his sacrifice, Ha Chi Binh was a construction worker in Squadron 3, Platoon 5, Company 2, Battalion 1, Brigade 513 (Military Region 3).
In response to the brave sacrifice of Housewife Vu Van Binh, the Commander of Military Region 3 signed a decision to promote comrade Vu Van Binh to the rank of above-ranking from Housewife to Sergeant.
