On the afternoon of July 30, Mr. Tran Quoc Danh - Chairman of Tay Ho Commune People's Committee, Da Nang City - confirmed to Lao Dong reporters that a case of a couple dying, suspected of being electrocuted, had just occurred in the area.
The victims were identified as Mr. L.N. T (45 years old) and Ms. N.T. T (39 years old), both residing in An Tho village, Tay Ho commune.
According to initial information, at about 10 am on the same day, Mr. T was repairing the corrugated iron roof of his family when he was unfortunately electrocuted and unconscious. When returning from work, discovering that her husband was in trouble, Ms. T rushed to rescue him but was transmitted by electricity. Both husband and wife were later determined to have died.
The sons of the two victims were the ones who discovered the incident, immediately shouted for people to come to support but it was too late.
Upon receiving the news, Tay Ho Commune Police quickly arrived to protect the scene. Professional units conducted scene examination and autopsy to clarify the cause.
The case is being handled and investigated by the Investigation Police Agency Office of Da Nang City Police.
Leaders of Tay Ho commune said that this afternoon, local authorities will visit, share condolences and support the families of the victims.
