Carefully calculate each household expense
Recently, many working families in Ca Mau said they must consider more carefully when spending daily. Unnecessary purchases are limited, while essential living expenses are calculated more carefully while many items are increasing in price.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, a worker at Vinh Loi garment factory, said that her and her husband's income is still at the same level as before, but living expenses have increased. "Previously, going to the market could buy more comfortably, but now we have to consider each dish. My family tries to cook more at home, limit eating out to save money," Ms. Hong shared.

According to Ms. Hong, small expenses such as electricity, water, and gas, if not paid attention to, can also increase significantly each month. Therefore, family members are reminded to use them sparingly.
Not only workers, many civil servants also actively adjust their consumption habits. Ms. Nguyen Tu Nhi, from Bac Lieu, working in Ca Mau, said that her family has made a clearer spending plan. "My family prioritizes essential items such as children's education and living expenses. Items that are not really needed are temporarily postponed," Ms. Nhi said.
According to Ms. Nhi, reasonable spending not only helps reduce financial pressure during times of rising prices but also creates a good financial management habit for the family.
Reduce production costs to maintain income
Not only in daily life, many people also apply savings measures in production to reduce costs and maintain income.
Mr. Le Van Dien, Phuoc Long commune, Ca Mau, said that the cost of agricultural materials such as fertilizers and pesticides is still high, so farmers must calculate carefully in each production season. "We reduce the amount of seeds, increase care for shrimp, crabs, and rice. How to both save and ensure yield," Mr. Dien said.
According to Mr. Dien, if you know how to apply reasonable farming techniques, production costs can be significantly reduced while still ensuring efficiency.

For fishermen, fuel costs are the largest expense in each sea trip. Therefore, many fishermen are looking for ways to save fuel to reduce cost pressure.
Mr. Le Van Tai, a fishing boat owner at Nha Mat estuary, said that boat owners are now calculating more carefully when going to sea. Mr. Tai shared: "We choose suitable fishing grounds to avoid running too many boats, and at the same time coordinate well between boats in the team to make the sea trip more effective and save fuel.
According to many workers, in the context of fluctuating prices, saving in daily life and production is a practical solution to stabilize life. "Saving is not living frugally but spending reasonably. When prices increase but wages have not increased, you must know how to calculate," said Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong.
Many families also believe that forming a habit of saving from small things such as limiting food waste, using electricity and water reasonably, or managing spending scientifically will help each family be more financially proactive and gradually overcome the period of high prices.
