On May 4, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province inspected the progress of the Huu Chap pumping station upgrade project, Hoa Long ward, Bac Ninh city.
The Huu Chap pumping station renovation and upgrading project (Bac Ninh city) invested by Bac Duong Information and Communications One Member Co., Ltd. has a total construction value of nearly 280 billion VND, the implementation period is until June 30, 2023.
Due to difficulties in compensation and site clearance; procedures for land allocation, land handover on site and many other reasons, the project cannot be completed on schedule.
The investor has proposed that the Provincial People's Committee allow an extension of the project implementation period until the end of 2025. The Department of Agriculture and Environment has issued a document requesting the policy of preparing a report proposing to adjust the project investment policy.
Currently, Bac Ninh city is focusing on site clearance and handing over to the construction unit before June 30 to continue implementing the project, striving to complete before December 31, 2025.
After checking the current situation and listening to reports from relevant units, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province pointed out the subjective and objective reasons for the delay in progress, affecting the effectiveness of the project in natural disaster prevention and control.
Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan requested Bac Ninh city to focus on completing site clearance and handing it over to the investor before May 31 to implement the construction of the remaining items of the project, no later than December 15, 2025, basically putting the project into operation, serving the task of natural disaster prevention and control.
According to the reporter's records, there are still many unfinished items at the Huu Chap pumping station project and signs of deterioration.
Many items have been put into operation for a long time, causing the body and structure to crack, causing unsafety for the project.
According to the approved adjustment of the project to renovate and upgrade Huu Chap pumping station, the project has a scale of 5 vertical pumping units.
The construction items include a station, a management house, a suction tank, a discharge tank, a gate across the dike, a complete installation of pumps, medium voltage lines, transformer stations and auxiliary works for the garden, internal roads, gates, and protective fences. Drilling and hardening the drainage system and works on the canals.
