Ca Mau - Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited the scene of the Thanh Tung commune market fire, visited, encouraged and presented support to households.

On the afternoon of August 22, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su visited the scene of the Thanh Tung commune market fire directly to visit, encourage and provide initial support to affected households.

At a quick meeting with local authorities and functional agencies, Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee Pham Thanh Ngai requested the military and police forces to continue to be on duty until the fire was completely extinguished.

At the same time, Thanh Tung Commune People's Committee was assigned to review each household that was severely affected and promptly report to the province for appropriate support.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province also requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province to coordinate with the locality to pay attention to and stabilize people's lives after the fire.

According to a quick report from the People's Committee of Thanh Tung commune, at around 12 noon on the same day, a large fire broke out at the cage market in Thanh Tung commune, burning down all 56 kiosks and many properties, directly affecting dozens of businesses and households living in the market.

At around 3:00 p.m., the fire was basically under control thanks to the coordination of the authorities. The locality is currently continuing to count the damage, support the recovery of the consequences and investigate the cause of the fire.
