On the afternoon of June 18, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Dai Thang and delegates of the City People's Council - Election Unit No. 14 including Tung Thien, Son Tay wards and Doai Phuong commune met with voters before the regular meeting in mid-2026.
Decisively handle pollution at Xuan Son landfill
At the conference, voters in Tung Thien ward expressed concern about the prolonged environmental pollution at Xuan Son Waste Treatment Area.
Voter Phung Van Hai - Le Khe residential group said that the Xuan Son landfill area still has a large volume of waste accumulated for many years, of which a part of the area has not been covered, causing air, soil and water pollution. The situation of odors and flies and mosquitoes arising seriously affects people's lives and health and hinders investment attraction and tourism development of the locality.
Voters proposed that the People's Council, the City People's Committee, especially the Chairman of the City People's Committee, direct the implementation of fundamental and drastic solutions to definitively handle pollution at Xuan Son landfill; in the immediate future, there needs to be a plan to cover and treat the environment to limit the spread of pollution.
Voter Nguyen Huu Hanh - residential group 6 Son Loc assessed that after a year of implementing the two-level local government model, the government apparatus of Tung Thien ward operates stably, smoothly, close to the people, close to the people and effectively solves people's tasks.
However, voters believe that the ward area is large, the terrain is semi-mountainous, the infrastructure is not synchronized, and the population is unevenly distributed, so travel between areas is still difficult. The headquarters of administrative agencies are currently dispersed, with limited area, causing inconvenience for people when contacting to resolve administrative procedures. From the above reality, voters proposed that the city allow the construction of a centralized administrative center in a convenient location to improve the efficiency of management, administration and better serve the people.
At the conference, representatives of leaders of departments, branches, ward People's Committees, relevant agencies and organizations spoke, received, explained, and answered issues raised by voters under their authority.

The groups of issues of concern to voters include environment, land, transportation, schools, social security, local government activities and facilities serving people.

Regarding cultural development, the city has approved the Project on preserving and promoting the value of Duong Lam ancient village, creating development momentum not only for Son Tay but also for localities in the region. In addition, key infrastructure projects such as Ring Road 4, Ring Road 3.5 and many other traffic projects are being focused on implementation, contributing to expanding the development space for the western area of the Capital.
Regarding the proposal to build a new administrative headquarters, the Chairman of the City People's Committee said that in the immediate future, Hanoi prioritizes resources for projects directly serving people's lives such as schools, medical facilities and social security projects. The city requests localities to continue to effectively exploit existing facilities to ensure the operation of the administrative apparatus and serve people best.
Regarding the operating expenses of the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and mass associations, the city will direct relevant departments and branches to review and ensure the full implementation of regimes and policies according to regulations, without allowing it to affect the implementation of political tasks at the grassroots level.
