On the afternoon of May 30, in Xuan Huong ward - Da Lat, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to organize the scientific conference "Lam Dong province development model: Potential and breakthrough".

The conference attracted nearly 150 domestic and international delegates who are experts, scientists, managers, investors and businesses.
The program includes two seminar sessions with topics on Lam Dong's development model in the new era and specific mechanisms and policies to promote growth.
Speaking at the opening, Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam said that after expanding the development space, the locality is converging many potentials and outstanding advantages such as diverse natural ecosystems and rich land funds.
Along with that is mineral potential, energy, high-tech agriculture, ecotourism, resorts and unique cultural identity.

According to the Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, this is an important opportunity for the locality to restructure the growth model, form new economic corridors and growth poles, and strengthen links with the South Central Coast, Central Highlands and key economic regions in the South.
Mr. Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam emphasized that the goal by 2030 is to make Lam Dong a fairly developed province, one of the dynamic growth poles of the region.

The contributions of experts and scientists will be an important basis for localities to plan policies and develop appropriate action programs in the coming time.
The Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee hopes that experts and scientists will propose breakthrough solutions for green industry development, renewable energy, and building a national bauxite - alumin - aluminum industrial center.

Lam Dong has many advantages in developing high-tech agriculture associated with circular economy; building high-quality tourism brands and removing bottlenecks in strategic infrastructure and regional linkages.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Minh Huan - Member of the Politburo, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics - said that Lam Dong after the merger possesses many rare advantages with development space stretching from the plateau to the coast.

According to Mr. Doan Minh Huan, the locality has a lot of room to develop green economy, circular economy, high-quality tourism, logistics, marine economy and high-tech agriculture associated with the value chain.
In addition, the potential for renewable energy and the processing industry also opens up great opportunities for future growth.
However, economic scale, growth rate and transportation and logistics infrastructure systems are still bottlenecks that need to be removed.
Therefore, the conference focused on discussing specific mechanisms and policies to maximize the potential and advantages of the locality and promote the private economic sector to participate in the development process.

At the workshop, experts, scientists and investors proposed many solutions on development space planning, regional linkages, and infrastructure development.
At the same time, transform the growth model and effectively exploit resources to promote the potential of Lam Dong province after the merger, towards the goal of rapid, green and sustainable growth.
