On the occasion of the 64th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to Co To Island (May 9, 2011 - May 9, 2025) and towards the 135th anniversary of the birth of the great President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1990 - May 19, 2025), Co To district will solemnly organize the Incense offering and National Flag-raising Ceremony at many locations.
The ceremony will take place at 7:00 a.m. on May 9, 2025 at 3 locations: The national flagpole of the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site on Co To Island; the national flagpole in Thanh Lan island commune and the national flagpole in Tran Island (Thanh Lan commune, Co To district).
At this solemn ceremony, delegates, people and tourists will sing together the song "Marching Song" - National Anthem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
This is also an activity of profound educational significance, contributing to arousing national pride in each person.
This year's event was held on the largest scale ever in the island district, expressing the special affection and deep gratitude of the Party Committee, government, army and people of Co To island district for the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh.
The ceremony also aims to spread the spirit of patriotism, the will to be self-reliant, self-reliant and determined to rise up to build a rich and beautiful homeland for sustainable development.
In addition to the main activities, within the framework of the event, Co To district also organizes many attractive sports and entertainment activities at 8:00 a.m. on May 10, 2025 at Love Beach.
Activities including paragliding, water motorbike racing, sup, ... will bring a vibrant atmosphere, attracting the participation of athletes and tourists.
These activities also contribute to promoting the image of Co To tourism, affirming the position of the island district on the national sea and island tourism map.
