According to information from specialized agencies, due to heavy rain, from 7 am to 8 am on June 26, the water level of the Bang River increased with an intensity of about 95cm/hour.
At Bang Giang Hydrological Station at 8 am, the measured water level was 179.91m, about 0.59m lower than alarm level 1 but is tending to increase rapidly.
Faced with the above developments, people in Ma Quan, Na Teng, Thai Cuong, Thanh Hung hamlets and Ban Don area (Hoa An commune) are advised to proactively move assets, livestock, and vehicles to a high, dry, and safe place; regularly monitor weather and water levels.
At the same time, do not go through deep flooded areas, fast flowing water and remind children not to play near rivers and streams to prevent accidents.
On the same day, Tien Thanh Hydropower Plant (Hanh Phuc commune) issued an urgent notice about flood discharge due to heavy rain in the basin, water from upstream flowing into the reservoir.

According to the announcement, at 9:30 am on June 26, the water inflow to the reservoir reached 260m3/s, the reservoir water level was at an elevation of 157.4m, and it is forecast that by 10:00 am the flow will continue to increase to 500m3/s.
The plant started regulating from 10 am on the same day with a total discharge flow of 500m3/s, of which discharge through spillways 243.22m3/s, through turbines 256.78m3/s.
The unit forecasts that the water level in the downstream area may rise by about 0.5m, affecting some areas in Hanh Phuc, Thach An, Phuc Hoa and Hoa Thuan communes.
The plant requests local authorities to widely inform people, not to go down to the riverbank during the flood discharge period and to proactively implement natural disaster prevention and control measures.

Meanwhile, Binh Long Hydropower Plant also issued an urgent notice on reservoir regulation due to heavy rain in the basin.
According to the plan, the plant started discharging from 4 am on June 26 to maintain the reservoir water level at a height of 209.8m. At 4 am, the water inflow to the reservoir was about 100m3/s, forecast to increase to 200m3/s by 5 am. The total discharge flow reached 130.18m3/s, including 90.76m3/s through the spillway gate and 41.09m3/s through the turbine.
The regulation is forecast to cause the water level in the Pac Gay hamlet area, Hoa An commune to rise by about 0.6m. Water will reach this area almost immediately after discharge and about 30 minutes later it will merge into the Bang Giang River at the bridgehead of Hong Viet commune (old).

Both plants said that if heavy rain continues to last, the discharge flow may be adjusted to increase and there will be further notices.
People are advised to regularly follow weather forecasts, natural disaster warnings and absolutely do not fish, collect firewood or operate in riverbeds and riverbanks during rain and floods and flood discharge to ensure safety.
