Implementing the Ministry of Public Security's plan to launch a peak period of deploying the collection of DNA biological samples of relatives of unidentified martyrs nationwide, from July 18-21, Can Tho City Police simultaneously organized the collection of DNA biological samples at 3 locations in the city, serving the work of comparing and identifying the remains of heroic martyrs who are still missing information.
In the first day of implementing the peak period alone, the City Police collected nearly 1,000 biological samples.

According to the plan, more than 2,700 relatives of martyrs subject to sampling in Can Tho City will be organized to collect DNA biological samples at 3 locations, including: No. 9A Tran Phu Street, Cai Khe Ward; No. 9 Vo Nguyen Giap Avenue, Vi Tan Ward and No. 9 Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Phu Loi Ward.
All processes of receiving, verifying information, taking biological samples and updating data are carried out in accordance with regulations, ensuring accuracy, science, safety and convenience for people.
At the points organizing the collection of DNA biological samples, the City Police coordinated with relevant units to accompany and organize medical examinations, health consultations, free medicine distribution and give thousands of gifts to relatives of martyrs participating in the program.

For cases of old age, weakness, illness or difficult travel conditions, the City Police develops a thoughtful support plan, arranging 7 specialized cars to serve the pick-up and drop-off of working groups and relatives of martyrs according to schedule, ensuring safe and convenient travel.

In particular, for elderly, weak, and sick relatives of martyrs who are no longer able to move, the Task Force of Department C06 of the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order of Can Tho City Police will directly bring equipment to their residence to collect DNA biological samples.
Bringing forces to each family not only ensures not to miss any eligible cases but also shows the spirit of responsibility, dedication and deep gratitude of the People's Police force towards the relatives of heroic martyrs.
