During the 2 days (29 - 30/8), the police force of Dong Thap province implemented the program "Love Stop".
On National Highway 1 (in Chau Thanh Commune) and National Highway N2B (in Cao Lanh Ward), the Traffic Police force coordinated with local union members and youth to distribute free bottled drinking water, cold towels, cakes and create conditions for people to rest and recover their health after long distances.
On National Highway 60 (belonging to Trung An Ward) and National Highway 1, Trung An Ward Police in coordination with Trung An Ward Youth Union and benefactors also organized a model of "Love at your feet", giving free stream water and towels to people in the West on their way home for the National Day holiday on September 2.
In Thap Muoi commune, the Commune Police also coordinated with the Women's Union and the Youth Union to organize the "Love Steps" on Hung Vuong Street (section belonging to My An 2 Hamlet, Thap Muoi Commune). During the day, the police force, officers, union members, and members distributed more than 3,000 bottles of mineral water and cold towels for free to the people.
Mr. Dinh Van Minh Nhut - Traffic Police officer (under the Traffic Police Department of Dong Thap Provincial Police) - said, "Through the "Love Steps" program, we hope to contribute a small part to help people have a smooth and safe journey back to their families during this meaningful holiday. In parallel with distributing drinking water and supporting people, the stations also actively propagate the law on traffic safety and order through distributing leaflets and mobile loudspeakers. This activity aims to raise people's awareness of complying with traffic laws, contributing to controlling and reducing traffic accidents during the holiday season".
The program was carried out from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on August 29 and from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on August 30. "Love at standstill" is a model of skillful mass mobilization that Dong Thap Provincial Police maintain regularly, especially during major holidays. The activity took place in the spirit of voluntariness and socialization of funding sources, following the motto of safety, economy and efficiency.
The program demonstrates the spirit of mutual love of the police force, contributing to building a beautiful image of the Traffic Police in the hearts of the people, while promoting the volunteer role of union members and youth in social activities for the community.
