Implementing President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, right from the early days of Binh Ngo Spring 2026, the Police of units and localities in Hanoi City simultaneously organized launching ceremonies and launched tree planting campaigns to respond to the movement "Tet tree planting forever remembers Uncle Ho".
The Tet tree planting movement has become an annual activity, a cultural beauty of the Capital Police force every early spring. This year, the activity is deployed simultaneously in 126 communes and wards, contributing to educating tradition and raising the sense of responsibility of officers and soldiers in protecting the environment and building a green, clean, and civilized Capital.
According to the 2026 plan, Hanoi City strives to plant 80,000 to 100,000 new trees of all kinds. The People's Police force in the area sets a target of planting about 1.72 million trees. Units proactively coordinate with Party committees and local authorities to organize tree planting to ensure practicality and efficiency, avoiding formality.
The selection of tree species and planting locations in the premises of headquarters, schools, roads, and residential areas is calculated in accordance with urban planning and growth conditions, in order to maximize green coverage and improve the living environment.
Lieutenant Colonel Vu Tuan Anh - Head of Nghia Do Ward Police - said that along with new planting, the unit focuses on propagating and mobilizing officers, soldiers and people to participate in caring for and protecting the existing green tree system. Thereby contributing to forming awareness of preserving green spaces, building a clean, beautiful, and environmentally friendly urban appearance.
The Tet tree planting movement also attracted the active participation of youth union members and women's union members of the Police of units. The atmosphere of early spring labor is urgent and exciting, creating a beautiful image of the Capital Police soldier who is close to the people, for the people, accompanying the community in social security activities.
This year's tree planting activities are also associated with important political events, towards celebrating the 14th National Party Congress and preparing for the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term, and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.
Through maintaining and spreading the green tree planting movement, Hanoi Police continues to affirm its core role in ensuring security and order associated with sustainable development, contributing to building Hanoi Capital to be increasingly safe, green and livable.
