According to information from Hanoi City Police, at about 1:54 a.m. on November 24, the authorities received a report of a fire at Lot 54, Thanh Liet Street, Thanh Liet Ward.
Initial information said that the fire broke out in a house, trapping 5 people inside, a particularly dangerous situation. As soon as the news was received, the Command Information Center mobilized the Fire Prevention and Rescue Team of Area 31 and Area 13 under the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC&CNCH) - Hanoi City Police, with 4 specialized fire trucks and 24 officers and soldiers to the scene.
The forces coordinated with Thanh Liet Ward Police to deploy fire fighting, rescue and relief. At the same time, the Commander of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department dispatched another command vehicle to the scene to directly direct.
At the scene, the fire was determined to have started in the kitchen of the first floor of the 5-storey house, while many people were still trapped inside. The commander of the fire fighting force quickly deployed a plan to guide the victims to move to the rooftop using a staircase, and at the same time arranged a team to control the fire, not allowing the fire to spread to the upper floors or to the next house.
After more than 40 minutes of effort, the fire was completely extinguished. The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force used a ladder truck to approach and bring 5 people (2 adults, 3 children) to safety. All are in stable health.
The cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
