On November 24, Hanoi City Police (CATP) held a conference to discuss the progress of implementing Plan No. 375 of CATP on a peak of 60 days and nights to review and clean up vehicle registration and driver's license data in the city.
Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Major General Nguyen Hong Ky - Deputy Director of CATP said that after 2 weeks of implementing the "60-day and night review and cleaning of vehicle registration and driver's license data" in the city, the Police of units and localities under CATP have achieved certain results.
However, in addition, the implementation of the Plan still has some shortcomings and limitations, and the work of cleaning vehicle registration data has not ensured the expected progress.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Me - Deputy Head of the CATP Traffic Police Department said that as of November 23, the system had collected information from 917,509 vehicle registration cases driven by citizens to iHanoi; 126/126 commune-level police have compared information of vehicle operators provided by the Traffic Police Department - Ministry of Public Security with the National Population Database in the locality, with a total of 130,266/130,359 cases of driver's license data being cleaned.
In the discussion at the Conference, representatives of the Commands of the units frankly pointed out the shortcomings and limitations in the implementation process, especially the contents that have not met requirements or are not commensurate with the general progress.
Based on the assessment of the situation, the units have made many recommendations and proposals to remove difficulties. The units affirmed that they will be determined to overcome the shortcomings, tighten discipline and order, and ensure effective implementation of the CATP Peak Plan in the coming time.
Concluding the meeting, Major General Nguyen Hong Ky - Deputy Director of CATP emphasized that the progress of task implementation of units is currently at a positive level, but the remaining time of the peak period is not much, while the requirements for tasks are very heavy.
Therefore, the Heads, officers and soldiers of the units must continue to promote the spirit of effort, maintain political determination, proactively organize implementation with higher intensity and efficiency to ensure the completion of targets in accordance with the requirements of the CATP.
The Capital Police force must accompany people throughout the process of reviewing and cleaning data; proactively guide, explain, and support people to feel secure and fully coordinate. Propaganda work must be strengthened in both content and form, ensuring information reaches the right subjects, is easy to understand, easy to implement, and creates widespread consensus among the people.
Major General Nguyen Hong Ky requested the functional departments to urgently review and develop specific and clear instructions to closely coordinate with the grassroots police in handling difficulties and problems; at the same time, promptly support units facing great pressure on workload. The standardization of processes, improving the handling capacity of staff and strengthening inspection and urging work must be carried out regularly and continuously.
For the commune-level police unit, it is necessary to focus on re-identifying the workload, reviewing the remaining targets, closely following the progress every day; not allowing the situation of overloading work at the end of the period. Each officer and soldier must promote their core role, proactively mobilize and propagate to each household, each neighborhood group, and even to relatives in the family to create a spread and promote the common progress.
"The entire force continues to maintain the spirit of solidarity, strive determined to successfully complete the campaign, ensure that vehicle registration and driver's license data in the city are reviewed, cleaned, serve well the state management work and task requirements in the new situation" - Major General Nguyen Hong Ky emphasized.
