Hanoi Police raise difficulties in cleaning vehicle registration and driver's license data

SÓNG HỮU |

Hanoi - The grassroots police force still faces certain difficulties in the process of cleaning vehicle registration and driver's license data.

On November 18, Hanoi City Police (CATP) held a conference to discuss the progress of implementing Plan No. 375 dated October 31 on a peak of 60 days and nights to review and clean up vehicle registration and driver's license data in the city.

According to statistics from the Traffic Police Department, Hanoi City Police, in 7 days (from November 11 to November 17), the system received more than 175,000 sets of vehicle data sent by citizens via the iHanoi application; the comparison of driver's license data reached a verification rate of 99%, of which nearly 90,000 cases had been cleaned.

The discussion at the Conference showed that many commune and ward police have been proactive and creative in the implementation process.

Many units have built a flexible working model, increased direct propaganda, mobilized students, union members, and young people in the locality to participate in supporting people to install applications; assigned daily targets to working groups and maintained close contact with the area, approaching each household.

Some opinions at the Conference said that during the implementation process, the grassroots police force still encountered certain difficulties due to the characteristics of the population, the time when people declared and concentrated and arising technical factors.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Trinh Tat Thang, Director of the Center for Application Management and System Development - City Public Administration Service Center, said that the main technical problems come from the traffic of users performing the same task at the same time. The center has quickly expanded its infrastructure, adjusted its algorithms and will continue to be on duty 24/7 to accompany CATP.

Requests to adjust the interface, form or process are all accepted and updated in the shortest time, to ensure the most stable and convenient system for the grassroots police force as well as the people.

Concluding the Conference, Major General Nguyen Hong Ky, Deputy Director of CATP, requested the Police of communes and wards to focus highly, closely follow the area and further enhance the responsibility of each Commander and officer. The police chiefs of communes and wards must directly direct and maintain daily meetings, assign clear targets for each task group and regularly count the results.

Units need to strengthen the organization of support groups for people to declare during and outside of working hours, mobilize forces to participate in security and order protection at the grassroots level, youth union members, residential groups and students to support family members. Propaganda work must be diverse, continuous, combining loudspeakers, loudspeakers and going directly to each household so that people clearly understand the benefits of data cleaning.

The Deputy Director of CATP also requested functional departments to coordinate in reviewing data of enterprises, industrial parks, schools and hospitals; building unified models for units to fill and send via the electronic mail system of the City People's Committee. CATP inspection teams will continue to go to the grassroots, focusing on areas that need support, ensuring the implementation process is in accordance with requirements.

"Every day at the grassroots level, there must be specific products, each cadre needs to promote a proactive spirit, fully instruct people to implement the steps on the iHanoi application, at the same time promote effective models that have been verified in some areas, strive to ensure progress and peak quality of general review, data cleansing, contributing to improving the effectiveness of state management of security and order in the capital" - Major General Nguyen Hong Ky emphasized.
