On January 21, Buon Don Commune Police, Dak Lak province said that the unit's forces promptly discovered and rescued a woman who jumped into the river to commit suicide.
According to initial information, on the night of January 20, Buon Don Commune Police deployed forces to patrol and control, ensuring security and order in the area.
At about 9:30 pm on the same day, when patrolling the Serepok hydropower bridge area, in Ea Mar hamlet, Buon Don commune, functional forces discovered a woman jumping into the river to commit suicide.
Faced with the urgent situation, Lieutenant Nong Duc Minh and Captain Y Quy Enuol (Buon Don Commune Police) immediately put on life jackets and jumped into the water to rescue people.
At the same time, two local people, Mr. Truong Van Huy and Mr. Pham Van Dung, also quickly put on life jackets and got into the water to support the police force in rescuing the victim.
Although the weather was freezing cold, the river section where the incident occurred had many underground rocks, and the water flowed fast, police officers and soldiers and people disregarded the danger and rescued the victim ashore safely.
According to the police agency, the person who jumped into the river to commit suicide is Ms. H.H (residing in Buon Don commune).
