On January 19, Quang Tri Provincial Police said that the Immigration Management Department has coordinated with professional units to establish a Task Force to receive Vietnamese citizens deported by the United States from Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi City to their localities.
2 cases deported by the United States include H.T.T (born 1987, before leaving the country residing in Tan My commune, Quang Tri province) and N.Q.V (born 1990, before leaving the country residing in Quang Trach commune, Quang Tri province).
The above cases were discovered by US authorities to be illegally residing, deported and handed over to Quang Tri Provincial Police at Noi Bai International Airport.
After receiving information, the Immigration Management Department coordinated with professional units to proactively advise and organize the reception in accordance with legal regulations, ensuring foreign affairs requirements, legitimate rights and interests of citizens in a humanitarian spirit.
The reception of Vietnamese citizens deported by foreign countries contributes to improving the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and functional agencies of other countries, while strengthening the effectiveness of state management of immigration.
After receiving, the Immigration Management Department continues to coordinate with professional units to verify relatives, manage and support citizens to reintegrate into the community according to regulations.
The Immigration Management Department, Quang Tri Provincial Police recommends that people when leaving the country for work, study or residence abroad should strictly comply with the laws of the host country, not reside, work illegally, and not participate in illegal activities to avoid the risk of being penalized, arrested or deported.
