On October 28, An Bien Commune Police (An Giang Province) had a working session with Ms. Vo Tuyet Vang (a woman appearing in a clip that is circulating on social media), accused of beating and raping a girl.
This incident was filmed by a video clip posted by the people on social networks, causing many people to be upset, expressing outrage at the above behavior, hoping that the authorities would intervene to verify and clarify.
As soon as the information was received, An Bien Commune Police coordinated with functional units to verify the incident. Initially, it was determined that the child's name was T.B.T ( Initial information born in 2019), and his parents had divorced. Her father worked far away so he sent T to Ms. Vo Tuyet Vang (born in 1965, from Binh An commune), temporarily residing in Lo 15 hamlet, An Bien commune, for care.
Working with the authorities, Ms. Vang admitted to beating the child as in the clip. Ms. Vang said that before that, T's father had sent his child to take care of and support expenses in stages, each time about 3-4 months, for a total of about 15 million VND. However, since around October 2024, she has not been able to contact the baby's family.
Not receiving the salary, Ms. Vang also became upset in her daily activities and taking care of T.
The authorities have examined T's health and determined that the child has some injuries to his face, elbows and two knees.
Mr. Le Minh Huong - Secretary - Head of Lo 15 Hamlet said: Currently, functional forces and local authorities are taking care of and chatting to help the child stabilize his psychology. In addition, singer Ho Viet Trung, when he heard the news, was present at the child's residence to meet, encourage, and send 30 million VND (from Ho Viet Trung and a few friends) to help the child temporarily stabilize her life. The Board of Directors temporarily helped keep this money for baby T.
The police also continue to investigate and clarify the motive and extent of the woman's behavior to handle it according to the provisions of the law.
Previously, a video clip appeared on social media recording a woman cursing, grabbing her hair, and beating the girl despite her crying. The girl used her hands to cover her face, the woman continued to grabb the girl's hair and dragged her away and continued to beat her.
