Dak Lak - A tourist accuses the restaurant owner of threatening and forcing him to eat and drink while charging an electric vehicle at a station on National Highway 1.

On August 24, Xuan Loc Commune People's Committee (Dak Lak province) informed that the local police have grasped the information and are verifying the case of a tourist accusing the restaurant owner of threatening and forcing him to eat and drink while charging an electric vehicle at the station.

Previously, a clip circulated on Facebook recording the scene of a woman using a phone to film a group of men arguing with her family. The incident is said to have occurred at an electric vehicle charging station in the premises of a rice shop on National Highway 1, in Long Thanh village, Xuan Loc commune, Dak Lak province, near the foot of Cu Mong pass.

According to the content of the clip and information shared on social networks, a group of tourists came to the station to charge their cars but were asked by the shop owner to eat rice at the shop before they could charge. After charging, the group of tourists was blocked, threatened not to leave if they did not go to the shop to eat and drink.

After the clip was shared, many people expressed outrage and requested functional agencies to clarify the incident.

However, Mr. D. T. P, the owner of the above-mentioned rice shop, said that when he saw the group of customers coming to charge their cars, he only invited them into the shop like normal customers. According to Mr. P, the fact that some people watched and understood the video content in the direction that the shop forced customers to eat and drink is a misunderstanding.
