On the morning of June 18, in Khanh Hoa, the School of Inspection Officers in coordination with Hanoi Law University organized a National Scientific Conference with the theme "Inspection, settlement of complaints and denunciations, prevention and combat of corruption, wastefulness, and negativity in the new era".

Speaking at the conference, Dr. Nguyen Van Luong - Principal of the School of Inspection Officers - said that the conference takes place at a time of special significance when Vietnam is aiming to build a modern, transparent, incorruptible and effective national governance.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Luong, to realize the goal of developing a rich and prosperous country, levels and sectors need to strongly innovate from management thinking to modern governance, taking people and businesses as the center of service; strengthen transparency, accountability and maximize resources for socio-economic development.
At the workshop, Dr. Nguyen Van Luong - Principal of the School of Inspection Officers, requested delegates to focus on discussing and proposing solutions according to 5 major orientations.

In which, the first orientation is to innovate the thinking and methods of inspection activities in the direction of shifting from "handling violations" to "preventing and assessing, warning of risks" early and remotely.
Each inspection needs to aim to both protect public interests and assets, and contribute to removing bottlenecks in institutions, creating a transparent and open investment and business environment.
In addition, the Inspection sector needs to proactively detect and promptly handle violations in new and key areas to prevent the formation of "interest groups", corruption, waste and negativity.
The second orientation focuses on clarifying the role of the inspection agency in effectively operating the three-level government model. Strong decentralization and delegation of power should go hand in hand with a strict power control mechanism and strengthening the accountability of the administrative apparatus.
Regarding the work of receiving citizens and resolving complaints and denunciations, delegates were requested to study innovative solutions in the direction of proactively preventing right from the grassroots level, limiting the occurrence of crowded, complex, and prolonged cases.
Another important content raised at the workshop was to promote digital transformation throughout the Inspection sector.
Accordingly, it is necessary to strengthen the application of artificial intelligence, big data and data analysis tools to gradually implement inspections in the digital environment, improve the capacity to detect early signs of violations, reduce overlap and minimize direct inspections causing trouble for people and businesses...
