Regarding the incident where hundreds of households in Ha Son commune, Ha Trung district, Thanh Hoa province are miserable because of weak electricity, a representative of the electricity supply unit admitted that there was a weak electricity situation as reported by the people.
Mr. Vu Dinh Kiem - Director of Branch 4, Thanh Hoa Electricity Business Management Joint Stock Company said that the unit is currently supplying electricity to about 1,200 households. According to statistics, about 70 households in Vinh An and Ngoc Son villages of Ha Son commune are affected by weak electricity.
“The reason is that Ha Son commune is large, the number of household appliances has increased. Households affected by weak electricity are mainly located at the end of the line, far from the transformer station. In addition, the weak electricity is partly due to the line after the meter to the households not meeting technical requirements, and being used for too long,” said Mr. Kiem.
According to Mr. Kiem, the company has surveyed and arranged the site to build a transformer station in Ngoc Son village. The construction is expected to be implemented and completed in the first or second quarter of 2025.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, many households in Vinh An, Ngoc Son and Chi Phuc villages (Ha Son commune, Ha Trung district, Thanh Hoa province) have been upset and have reported that for many years, they have been living with weak electricity, which has greatly affected their daily lives.
According to households, during peak times, household appliances are almost unable to function, from rice cookers, refrigerators, televisions, washing machines... Many families do not even dare to buy air conditioners, because even if they did, they would not be able to use them.
"At village meetings and commune conferences, we reacted very strongly, but until now the situation has not improved. We pay the electricity bill every month, but in return the electricity is very weak and we cannot use electronic devices" - Mr. Tran Van Gian (63 years old, living in Ngoc Son village, Ha Son commune, Ha Trung district) said.
Speaking with Lao Dong reporter, Mr. Nguyen Van Ngo - Vice Chairman of Ha Son Commune People's Committee, Ha Trung District, Thanh Hoa Province confirmed that the weak electricity situation in the area is true. There are 3 villages including Ngoc Son, Vinh An and Chi Phuc, the total number of affected households is about 200 households.
“The weak electricity is due to the infrastructure of the power lines, especially the power lines, which were invested in many years ago. Meanwhile, in recent years, the electricity consumption of people has increased a lot, making the power line system insufficient to meet the demand. Faced with this situation, the commune has repeatedly sent documents to the power supply unit, Thanh Hoa Electricity Business Management Joint Stock Company, requesting a solution, but so far, the problem has not been resolved,” Mr. Ngo informed.
