On August 15, Road Traffic Police Team No. 2, Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of Dak Lak Provincial Police said that the unit had just discovered and made a record of handling a tanker truck driver who violated regulations on the rest time between two consecutive driving sessions.
Previously, at about 3:13 pm on August 13, Road Traffic Police Team No. 2 received information about a tanker truck with license plate 86C-097. XX showing signs of violating regulations on driving time on National Highway 26.
Immediately after that, the traffic police force exploited data from the journey monitoring device to determine the location of the vehicle. The patrol and control team quickly deployed to search and at about 4:10 pm on the same day discovered the car stopping at Km85+500 National Highway 26.
Through inspection, functional forces determined that driver D. H. T (born 1996) did not properly comply with regulations on the rest time between two consecutive driving sessions.
Road Traffic Police Team No. 2 made a record of administrative violation against driver T, and at the same time temporarily seized the CE-class driver's license for handling according to regulations.
In addition to the driver, A.T.P Transport Co., Ltd. - a transport business unit - was also recorded by functional forces for handing over the vehicle to a worker for control but failing to ensure compliance with regulations on the driver's rest time.
