Information from the Vietnam Road Administration said that after completing the procedures according to regulations, from 2:00 PM on August 14, 2026, the Administration will organize toll collection for expressway use at 5 component projects of public investment belonging to the North-South Expressway in the East, including: Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon, Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon, Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh, Chi Thanh - Van Phong and Van Phong - Nha Trang.
The organization of toll collection is implemented to implement regulations on toll collection for expressway use for roads invested by the State, and at the same time contribute to ensuring that the management, exploitation and operation of the expressway are carried out in accordance with regulations.
To ensure safe and smooth toll collection operations, the Vietnam Road Administration requests vehicle owners to proactively check, affix terminal cards and maintain sufficient balance in non-cash payment accounts before traveling on expressways.
Vehicles passing through the toll station area should absolutely comply with the road traffic sign system, instructions from functional forces and operating staff; and strictly comply with regulations on vehicle load and ensure traffic safety.
The Vietnam Road Administration also requested localities with expressways passing through to strengthen propaganda on toll collection organization; and at the same time direct functional forces to strengthen patrols, inspections, regulation, and traffic diversion at locations at risk of congestion and promptly handle violations according to regulations.
Putting 5 component projects of the Quang Ngai - Nha Trang section into toll collection organization from August 14, 2026 is the next step in the process of putting all public investment component projects on the North - South expressway in the East phase 2021 - 2025 into operation and management according to regulations.
