Hanoi - Traffic police forces show real traffic accident clips to drivers and transport businesses to warn of risks and raise awareness.

Hanoi Traffic Police (CSGT) organized for dozens of drivers and transport business owners to watch live traffic accident clips to raise awareness of law compliance and prevent risks when participating in traffic.

Accordingly, this afternoon (May 18), Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 - Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police organized a conference to propagate and disseminate legal regulations on traffic order and safety to transport units and construction contractors operating in the managed area.

The propaganda session was attended by nearly 70 representatives of businesses, drivers and construction site officials in 12 wards. Here, functional forces showed many clips recording actual traffic accident situations, and analyzed the causes, violations and consequences for participants to learn from.

Many drivers said they felt "startled" after watching videos of accidents occurring due to subjectivity, lack of observation or failure to comply with traffic regulations.

Just a minute of carelessness can lead to serious consequences, especially in the context that many construction sites are under construction with high vehicle density," Mr. Vu Doan Hoi - technical staff of Dai An contractor (the unit implementing the flood control project on Hoang Minh Thao - Vo Chi Cong road) shared after watching the clips.

According to the Commander of Road Traffic Police Team No. 6, in the past time, many accidents related to transport vehicles originated from drivers not slowing down, going in the wrong lane, not paying attention to traffic signals or lacking handling skills.

The use of visual images from actual cases is assessed to help drivers easily visualize the level of danger and raise awareness compared to conventional propaganda forms.

After watching the clip, many drivers have learned a lesson for themselves. I hope drivers and contractors will apply it in practice to ensure safety.

Not only propagating, we also require businesses, contractors and drivers to sign commitments to strictly comply with the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, ensuring safety during construction and transportation of goods," said Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quoc Huy - Deputy Head of Road Traffic Police Team No. 6.

According to statistics from the Hanoi Traffic Police Department, traffic accidents related to transport business vehicles still account for a high proportion in road accidents recently.

Therefore, propaganda and visual warning work continue to be considered an important solution to reduce traffic accidents.
