Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that the rice harvest season has now entered the area and there is a situation of people encroaching, using the fields and sidewalks to strip rice, drying agricultural products; placing bricks, stones, trees and other obstacles across the road, affecting traffic order and safety, and posing a potential risk of accidents.


Drying rice, straw and agricultural products on the road has unintentionally created dangerous traps for traffic participants. In particular, when straws are blown away by the wind and encroached on the middle of the road, motorbikes passing by can easily slip and fall. Many traffic accidents and vehicle fires have occurred, the cause of which comes from drying and burning straw, rice, and agricultural products on the road.
In the face of the above situation, in addition to increasing patrols, controls, and handling of violations to ensure traffic order and safety on the routes, the Traffic Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police will directly propagate, guide, and request people not to dry rice, straw or use bricks, stones, trees, or obstacles across the road, causing traffic obstruction and potentially endangering road users.


In addition, the authorities will coordinate with local authorities and the police of communes and towns along traffic routes, increase propaganda on loudspeaker systems and social networking platforms such as Zalo, Facebook to each village, hamlet, and residential area about prohibited behaviors and dangerous levels.
