The Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police said that after the holiday (September 3), the traffic volume from neighboring provinces and cities returning to Ho Chi Minh City to work and study is expected to increase dramatically, especially on national highways and expressways connecting the East - Southwest region.
In addition, the city is currently implementing many projects on the road under exploitation such as the Binh Trieu 1 bridge area on National Highway 13. Tan Van intersection (Tan Van - Nhon Trach section) under the Ring Road 3 Project; An Phu intersection; My Thuy intersection... greatly affecting people's traffic activities through these areas.
To limit prolonged congestion and ensure a safe and smooth journey back to Ho Chi Minh City, the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police recommends that people proactively choose a suitable departure time frame, and refer to alternative routes in each direction of travel below:
East (formerly Dong Nai - Ba Ria Vung Tau - Ho Chi Minh City)
From Vung Tau, Ba Ria previously went to Ho Chi Minh City (central area):
- Route 1: National Highway 51 - Vo Nguyen Giap Street (Bien Hoa) - National Highway 1K - Ho Chi Minh City (over Dong Nai Bridge).
- Route 2: National Highway 51 - turn National Highway 56 (Long Khanh).
- National Highway 1 (Dau Giay) - Ho Chi Minh City ( Helping avoid congestion on Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway).
- Route 3: Vung Tau/Long Thanh - Nhon Trach - Nhon Trach Bridge - Ring Road 3 - HLD - Ho Chi Minh City Expressway Intersection.
From Vung Tau - Ho Chi Minh City Expressway Station:
- From Vung Tau Expressway Wharf (1A Tran Phu, Vung Tau Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) to Bach Dang Wharf (10B Ton Duc Thang, Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
