In the atmosphere towards the election day of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels, many elderly voters in Thach village, Tay Phuong commune are eagerly waiting for the day of exercising citizen rights.
At the age of 104, Ms. Dang Thi Chin (Tay Phuong commune, Hanoi) still clearly remembers the feelings every time she participates in the election. For her, it is a simple but sacred joy of a citizen.
Ms. Dang Thi Chin said that since she was young, she has gone through many elections. Every time the voting day comes, she feels nervous and excited. According to Ms. Chin, going to the polls is not only the right of the people but also a responsibility to her homeland and country.
Going to the election is to choose people that I trust, people with virtue and talent to represent the people to work for the people, so I feel very proud," Ms. Chin shared.
Although he is old and his health is no longer as before, he still wants to directly go to the polling station to cast his ballot. For him, the moment of personally voting in the ballot box is always of special significance, showing the rights and responsibilities of a citizen.
On the upcoming election day, Mr. Chin will go with his children and grandchildren to the village cultural house to exercise his civil rights as in previous years.
Sharing the same excitement, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nep (97 years old) has also gone through many elections. However, every time the election day comes, she still feels nervous and looking forward to it.
Now I'm old too, I don't know if I can still vote in 5 years. So this time I feel even happier and more respectful," Mrs. Nep said.
According to Mr. Nep, the selection of delegates is an important task, voters need to choose people with sufficient virtue, talent, and responsibility to represent the people, contributing to the development of the country and localities.

According to Mr. Phung Khac De - Secretary of the Village Party Cell, Head of the Thach village election team, immediately after having the plan from the higher level, the locality established an election team and assigned specific tasks to each member.
The village's election team has more than 20 members, including representatives of mass organizations, village officials and people with experience in election work. Members are assigned to be in charge of each area, ensuring that all preparations are carried out fully and in accordance with regulations.
Up to this point, the decoration of the polling station, preparation of facilities and basic necessary conditions have been completed. Documents introducing candidates have also been distributed to each household so that voters have time to learn before voting.
Also according to Mr. De, Thach village currently has about 1,700 voters. The election team has reviewed the voter list, prepared voter cards and completed the steps according to the provisions of the Election Law.
In particular, for elderly voters or those with weak health, the locality has developed support plans so that everyone can exercise their citizenship rights.
We are always ready with the option of bringing auxiliary ballot boxes to homes for cases that cannot travel. However, currently many elderly people are still very excited and want to go to the polling station themselves," Mr. Phung Khac De said.
