In the face of the above situation, the Traffic Police Department recommends that vehicles participating in traffic in bad weather conditions, where the mountain pass is winding, drivers need to pay attention:
Absolutely comply with traffic regulations and commands (not only of traffic police, but also of road management units);
Pay attention to weather warnings and landslide risks on the proposed route to avoid or choose another suitable route;
Do not drive vehicles into areas that have been warned of landslide risk;
The Law on Road Traffic Safety and Road Traffic Experience shows that when drivers or drivers encounter bad weather, rain, limited visibility, slippery road surfaces or on narrow, curved roads, steep passes, etc., drivers need to pay attention to:
Focus on driving, pay attention to observing; turn on near spotlights, fog lights; Control slow-speed vehicles (preferably no more than 40 km/h); Keep a safe distance from vehicles in front;
Do not overtake (because the road is small, there are only two parts of the road for vehicles to run, bad weather, slippery, if overtaking, it will be dangerous for yourself and traffic participants in the opposite direction).
The traffic police will coordinate with road management units and experts to forecast the risk of landslides or may block the road to ensure traffic safety.
