On the afternoon of November 3, the Traffic Police Department said that the unit had reviewed and verified information about a case of a resident reporting a "surprise" in the name of a truck on the VNeTraffic application. The results of the original file lookup showed that the information displayed on the system was accurate.
Accordingly, after grasping the information on social networks, the Traffic Police Department directed the professional unit to coordinate with the Traffic Police Department - Hanoi City Police to check the data.

Through verification, Mr. N.V.D (residing in Thanh Oai district, Hanoi) is the owner of the truck with license plate 29C-282.xx - the vehicle that he previously thought he "not named".
The comparison of archived original records shows that the data on the VNeTraffic system is completely consistent with the vehicle registration records.

Previously, a post from a user reflecting a similar situation also appeared on the social networking group Facebook. According to the reflection, after upgrading his level 2 account on the VNeTraffic application, the system displayed the personal information of this person registered for a "strange" motorbike.
However, when the Traffic Police Department coordinated to verify, this person later admitted that he had registered to be the vehicle's name.
According to the Traffic Police Department, the VNeTraffic application was developed to support people in looking up and managing information about vehicles, driving licenses and other traffic data.
This system is directly connected to the National Population Database and the VNeID identification application, so all personal data has been synchronized according to the personal identification code.
The Traffic Police Department said that it is possible for people to "forget" to register their vehicle, but the data system will never "forget" because all information is stored accurately from the original file.
In case of detecting false information or vehicles that have been sold, donated, or left unused, people can go to the police at the commune level where they live to declare and adjust the information.
The Traffic Police Department recommends that according to the provisions of law, the vehicle owner must take full responsibility for the vehicle in the vehicle registration, even if he/she has not completed the procedures to transfer the name to another person.
