Recently, a Facebook user posted an article saying that when searching on the VNeTraffic application, he discovered a strange motorbike under his name. This person affirmed that he did not own or have anyone's name on that car.

After grasping the above information, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Ministry of Public Security has directed the functional unit to coordinate with the Hanoi Traffic Police Department to review system data and look up the actual "original file" being stored.
Through the search, the authorities confirmed that Mr. T.N.T (residing in Time City Urban Area, Hanoi) was the owner of the car with the above license plate. At the same time, Mr. T.N.T was also the one who posted information on social networks not to recognize his car. After grasping the above information, Mr. T.N.T deleted the post on social media.

The Traffic Police Department said that the unit is currently coordinating with relevant agencies to develop a citizen application - VNeTraffic to provide maximum support for traffic participants.
The application has been connected to the National identification application and ID card. Individuals who have upgraded to level 2 at the VNeID application will automatically switch to level 2 at the VNeTraffic application.
Thereby, all vehicle data, driving licenses associated with ID cards (formerly) are now personal identification codes, with default information on the system.
"Therefore, you can forget that you have been registered with a vehicle as the owner of a vehicle, but the system will never forget," the Traffic Police Department shared.
After installing the VNeTraffic application (level 2), the system will automatically update the types of traffic documents of the account holder according to the personal identification code, including: information about the driver's license; types of road motor vehicles with the account holder's name on the vehicle registration certificate.
In case the account owner finds information about the driver's license or vehicle inaccurate, he can go to the commune-level police station to declare and correct the information, especially information about the vehicle (sold, purchased, donated but not completed the procedures or the old, dilapidated vehicle has been discarded...).
The Traffic Police Department also recommends that according to the provisions of law, the vehicle owner must take full responsibility for the vehicle in which he/she has registered his/her name.
In cases where the vehicle has been sold but the registration procedure has not been completed, the vehicle owner needs to proactively go to the registration agency to declare, provide information about the vehicle or carry out procedures to revoke the license plate.
