On November 3, Mr. Briu Quan - Chairman of the People's Committee of A Vuong commune (Da Nang city) said that the commune's working group had reached the residential area of Atiep village after many days of isolation due to serious landslides.

According to Mr. Quan, despite the rainy and windy weather and high risk of landslides, the authorities and local authorities have walked more than 15km of forest road to reach it, bringing rice, instant noodles, dried fish, blankets, warm clothes and necessities to support the people of Athep and Dang villages.
Based on, people have enough food for more than two weeks, said Mr. Quan.
Previously, on October 27, the commune government mobilized people to evacuate from the dangerous area. By the morning of October 28, a hill on the mountain suddenly collapsed, sweeping away and collapsing 16 houses. Thanks to timely evacuation, there were no human casualties.

Mr. Briu Quan shared: "This landslide that hit the small village is no different from the previous landslide in Nu village (Lao Cai). Some houses were completely buried by rocks and soil, leaving no trace. Fortunately, people were evacuated in time, otherwise dozens of people could have died".
Currently, A Vuong commune is still experiencing heavy rain, landslides continue to occur at many locations. People's lives, which were already difficult, have now become even more miserable, lacking water for daily use, and losing phone signals. The government and forces continue to support the construction of temporary houses, provide food, and help people soon stabilize their lives after natural disasters.
