On November 18, the People's Committee of Phu Quoc City enforced the implementation of remedial measures according to Decision No. 940/QD-KPHQ dated April 23, 2024 of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Kien Giang Province against Mr. Ta Van Binh (born in 1975), currently residing in Suoi Lon Hamlet, Duong To Commune, Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province.
The enforcement decision of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province requires Mr. Binh to take remedial measures for his administrative violations in the field of land. The consequences caused by the administrative violations that need to be remedied are an area of 19,816.1m² of land in Group 6, Suoi Lon Hamlet, Duong To Commune. This land is managed by the People's Committee of Phu Quoc City, and was occupied by Mr. Ta Van Binh to carry out activities such as construction of works, building fences, digging ponds and planting trees on the occupied land area.
The decision clearly states that Mr. Ta Van Binh is required to restore the original state of the land before the violation for the area of 19,816.1 m² of occupied land (of which non-agricultural land is traffic land in rural areas with an area of 895 m²; agricultural land is perennial land in rural areas with an area of 18,921.1 m²) at Group 6, Suoi Lon Hamlet, Duong To Commune, Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province.
Mr. Ta Van Binh also had to pay back more than 313 million VND to the Phu Quoc State Treasury, which was the illegal profit gained from committing administrative violations.
According to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Phu Quoc City, since the beginning of the year, the People's Committee of Phu Quoc City has issued 60 decisions to enforce the implementation of remedial measures in the city. Of these, 19 cases have been enforced and 12 cases have voluntarily implemented the decision to enforce the handover of land areas managed by the state. The city is planning to enforce the remaining 29 cases in accordance with the law.
