This market is considered a hotspot for encroachment on roads and sidewalks for many years in the old Bac Lieu City (now Bac Lieu ward, Ca Mau province).
Previously, after more than 2 months of implementing the plan to arrange and relocate households buying and selling and doing business on Ngo Gia Tu street (section from Hoa Binh street to Hoang Dieu street) and the night food market to a new location. Most small traders have complied with this and moved to the new market on the extended Hoa Binh street or found other suitable business locations.

However, on this route, there is still spontaneous trading, occupying roads and sidewalks, causing urban disorder, obstructing traffic, and affecting the daily life of people in the area.
Night market activities here have existed for many years but have not been officially licensed by competent authorities.
Notably, from 2016 to now, Quy Thuan Phat Trading and Service Co., Ltd. has leased umbrellas, stalls, and domestic electrical systems to small traders to do business at the temporary night market on Ngo Gia Tu street.
Although the local government has repeatedly propagated, mobilized, and issued documents requesting the cessation of operations, and at the same time sanctioned administrative violations, the enterprise still does not comply and continues to maintain illegal land leasing activities.
The coercion and clearance of the illegal night market point received the consensus of the people on Ngo Gia Tu street. Thereby, contributing to restoring urban order, ensuring street aesthetics, and creating conditions for commercial activities to develop in accordance with planning and legal regulations.
